Hok A.I. Dance Video

ABOUT

Los Angeles, CA, U.S.A.

Emmy Award-winning choreographer Hokuto Konishi wanted to explore how live dance, water, LED volume visuals, and generative AI could come together in a single experimental performance.

The stage featured a custom one-foot-deep water pool, giving the dancers a physical surface to move through while creating strong natural reflections of the LED wall. This helped blend the real stage with the Unreal Engine environment in-camera, adding depth, texture, and atmosphere to the piece.

I worked alongside another Unreal artist to build the background environment using the Dragon Cathedral marketplace asset as a foundation. Within one week, we kitbashed and art-directed the scene into a custom performance world with day, night, and storm lighting setups. I also helped create thunder effects to support the choreography’s mood and transitions.
